RapidSpot finished

Hi guys,

today we performed the presentation that supposes the ending of Software Engineering III. As you know, during the development of RapidSpot system we went through very stressing situations that required all our attention and time. In order to cope with those situations we worked as a united team, everyone in its own possibilities.

With this post, I want to express that despite the fact it was a hard project, we also enjoyed many situations I will never forget. Those "palmeras" (thanks to Eze) to make our minds work better, those series of "borderías" and "funny comments" in every situation possible, those moments in which we could not speak about RapidSpot anymore and we discussed about anything else (including the weather), those neverending threads in Gmail, the Skype conferences with strange sounds from Eze and Lukas speaking from beyond the grave... Those experiences made us a team and are something we will remember from the subject forever.

So mates, good luck with any other project and hope to work with you again.

Best wishes,

Álvaro Fernández

DDD Appoved!

After a realy hard weekend, in which we barely sleep... Three reviewed documents (ADD, DDD, SVVP) were delivered on time :) and another one is on its way (STD).

Although It was a very difficult time and the workload was extremely high, I have to say that between all the work I have a good time. I really understand what is like to work in a great team, where everyone is involved and willing to help the other ones with their tasks!. It was awesome. we all spent three days, almost 24/7 on the Gmail chat coordinating ourselves, reviewing the different advances of the rest of the team and solving doubts. No member of the team stuck to their duties, when someone finished inmediatly helped the other! we all work like never... I'm pleased for being on the BLUE TEAM!

Today was the review of the first of the previously talked documents (the DDD) and... It's approved!

GO BLUE TEAM!!!!!!

Overload

Guys, I have to make an urgent call on you because next days will be kinda busy days for all of us. As you well know, there are some critical changes to perform in the documents we delivered more than two weeks ago. Such changes make us change also the documents we delivered after them, which supposes an exponential growth in the workload.

Now, it is not time to find a guilty one, but to work harder and better than ever before. I hope all the disappointment we feel makes us do our very best.

About humiliation and laughs, just remember that no laugh will ever break one of our bones. We are high above such concerns and nonsense.

Finally, just ensuring that I know we will develop documents much better than those already provided by the other teams, and promising you that I will do me best in this overwhelming situation.

Keep up the hard work!
Álvaro

Review of ADD, working on SVVP and on the presentation

Hi!

Last week we only had one lecture, in which the ADD was reviewed. To the reviewer it was the worst document ever (as always). The truth is that we don't have to make too many changes, although they are big ones.

We are also working on the testing document (SVVP) and in the final presentation. The testing document is for Tuesday and the presentation for Monday. We will have a busy week with: presentation, delivery of the first version of the SVVP and delivery of the second version of the ADD, plus the review of the DDD.

The list of "to do" activities is going shorter an shorter, so...
Hold on there, baby!

The first "brush"

Hi all. As everybody know, yesterday the first brush appeared between two members of this project. I have to say first of all that it is completely solved, "there is no crisis" as politicians say.

In addition to this, I have to say that I find normal these brushes because this project requires a lot of time to work on it. We are working with too much pressure and we are working as a group, we have two meetings per week. So, the environment is not the better. I talked with members of other groups and they don't have meeting, in fact she told me they did only A metting at the beginning of the project. My question is .... is this a group?? Or they are splitting the work and doing it separately?? Because the most I have learnt with this project is to work in group.

I am glad of Blue Team, because each of us has a role in this group. This role is not the Project Manager, Tester .... for example, Ezequiel makes the meeting too much funny, with his jokes and his laugh (Remeber: "Ey chicos pasarme la ESA"). Lucas is the supplier of this group, he brings cupcakes, breads, oranges, bananas .... and so on. Fran is always ready to do things, moreover Fran and Alvaro are always pestering Ezequiel so it is funny. Apart from that, Alvaro brings some lights when the rest does not see the solution.

Again, I am very pride of the work done in this project because other groups follow the ESA standard, while we adapt it. We read the standard and we think if the section is applicable for the project.

For all I have said, and for a lot of things I have not written:

THANK YOU GUYS !!!

Reaching the final steps

Hi everybody,
this is your project manager. This post is only to inform you that the development of the project goes quite well, despite the fact that we have had to face some ugly problems. Fortunately, we were able to overtake disadvantages with our hard work.

Apart from that, may I remind you that this group is based on communication through the members and that any issue or complaint can be exposed freely, when correctly and politely expressed. Because of that, I enforce you to not keeping anything to the insides because it is not desirable and supposes a flaw in the team.

Finally, just emphasizing that I am quite glad with the work and performance of the team, which I have never seen before in previous projects that implied such an amount of people.

Yours, sincerely
Álvaro

Quite a busy week...

but we're gonna make it!!!

Yes, today we worked on the ADD and the DDD. We did, and we did it separating in groups and working quite efficiently (which is not always the case, lol).
Plus we reviewed the SRD, so we can turn in a new version
Plus we started the BPR3, because we are such a great team, that we can do work overhead!

Anyways, although it has been quite a hard week, we are doing a great job!!
Keep up the good work Blue Team!!

Lukillas

PS: By the way, we talked already about the super-mega End-of-project party... The Project Manager is going to pay the beer!

Second Bi-Weekly Progress Report

Hi guys! How is it going? I'm writing just to remind you that next week we have the second BPR delivery, and it would be fine to have it done right before the weekend, because I don't work properly under pressure... Therefore, I consider that It would be nice to keep on the same sections that we did in the previous BPR, because we already know how to fill them...

Would it be possible to arrange a meeting on friday morning in order to join all our parts? Leave your opinions below...

Hugs

A new use to Twitter!

Hi everybody!
Today is Election Day at the US. This means the new president is being elected in this moment. This is quite an historical moment, because the new "boss" of the world is being voted, that hopefully (I doubt it), will save us from the crisis (lol).
All this to say that I found a new use to Twitter

Twitter Vote Report: http://twittervotereport.com/

This tools allows everybody to enter information about the status of the pole they went to vote...
Right now, Twitter is burning!! It's receiving 3 new posts every half-a-second!
You have to check it out!

Keep up the good work!

Hi everybody!
This is just a small post to let you know that I really like how we're doing on this project.
The way we are organizing work, dividing the sections and asigning reviewers is very useful!
Then, we meet up on Tuesdays (and Fridays, unfortunately) to stick everything together and make a last review as a team.
See you at 19h!

Lucas

SQAPv3.0 done and BPR on its way!

Hello!

Today we had a very good meeting. We are getting better and better with respect to the organization and review of documentation. We had also improve the decision making and become a little bit more unified on that aspect.

The goals of the meeting from this morning were finishing the last details of the new SQAP version (remember that we had to produce an entire new document from Monday) and to start working on the BPR. The work for the BPR is now divided (because of the weekend). Each section of it have an author and each author have a designated reviewer. Our next meeting is on Tuesday morning :-)

Go Blue Team!!! ;)

Mondays Are Nasty Too

Yeap. Last Monday was a nasty day too :(
As always, things got pretty ugly, specially when we realized that our SQAP scheme was a little bit different from the others teams :S
But we didn't waste any time. On Tuesday we had an emergency meeting to finish the URD, to modify the corresponding sections of the SQAP and start working on it for Friday.
Keep the hard work Blue Team!! :)

See ya!

I have no surname, I am responsible for the worst document ever and I like blue color...

Yes, I am Ezequiel Nosurname, the Configuration Manager of the team!

But wait a minute, there is a positive thing!!... If we delivered the worst document (SCMP) ever, that means we can do the best improvement ever! And you bet we have done it! No more Configuration disasters in RapidSpot.

The only sad thing is that I will go back to black as my friend Amy :)

By the way, my surname is Quintero :D
Let's keep working hard! Because this keeps getting better!

Love!

A productive meeting.

Hello guys!! How is it going??

This post is only to congratulate you about the meeting we had today. This meeting was successful because we fixed the errors in the SCMP, we sorted the requirements into the differents cathegories and we found new ones.

Great job !!!
